Chintz is usually a glazed solid or imprinted cotton fabric.
Several types of glaze can be used. The wax & starch glaze
produced by friction will wash out. It can also come in semi-glazed.
Bedspread Creation uses a chintz that has a resin glaze finish.
It will not washout and will withstand dry cleaning as well.
CHINTZ is a noun, named from the Indian word 'chint', meaning
"broad, gaudily printed fabric."
